A tournament titled ‘Call of Duty Championship’ has just been announced, and it will be presented by Xbox, and guess what – it will feature a ONE MILLION DOLLAR prize pool.
Today, the Call of Duty Championship was announced, a tournament presented Xbox, in which the top 32 Call of Duty teams around the world will be invited to Hollywood, California to compete for a prize pool of money.
The Call of Duty Championship tournament will be competed on using Call of Duty: Black Ops II – created by Treyarch, the latest addition to the Call of Duty franchise.
The tournament will feature a ONE MILLION DOLLAR prize pool, in which the first place of the competition will be rewarded $400,000.

There are multiple ways to gain entry to the Call of Duty Championship tournament, and one of them requires you to use the in-game League Play feature, which provides a way for competitive players to get ranked on their performance and compete with others of similar skill levels.
Those in the Top 8 Master Division teams in the Champion Series League Play Season 3 will qualify to compete in the Call of Duty Championship.
Another way to qualify for Call of Duty Championship is to place in the Top 8 at the upcoming MLG event: MLG Winter Championship – Dallas, TX on March 15th – 17th.
The last way to qualify that has been announced so far, is to finish once again, in the Top 8 at the upcoming ESL Finals in Cologne, Germany on March 16th – 17th.
Other regions such as Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and many more, will have details shared soon on how they can qualify for the Call of Duty Championship.
Those who are eligible to compete will be contacted directly to make travel arrangements for the Call of Duty Championship, all 32 teams will be provided with airfare, hotel accommodation and transportation.
There will be a limited amount of spectator passes given to fans of Call of Duty, users are advised to keep an eye on Call of Duty Black Ops II’s Twitter & Facebook for information on winning these spectator passes.
